RESOLUTION -NO. 311
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY.COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING
THE DENIAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING.ORDINANCE.OF
SAID CITY, SECTION 12.13.150A, TO PROHIBIT THE SALE OF ANY.TYPE OF
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS (BN).ZONE, IN ACCORDANCE
WITH PLANNING COMMISSION'FILE NO. ZO-10-68.
WHEREAS the'Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds, pursuant
to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on a proposed amend-
ment to the Official Zoning Ordinance of said City to prohibit the sale
of any type of alcoholic beverage in a Neighborhood Business (BN) Zone,
set forth in Section 12..13.150A; and
WHEREAS, having made the.findings set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, the Planning Commission'deterinined that amendment should
not be made: now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED.by the.Planning Commission of said City that
recommendation be and the same hereby is made to said City Council that
the proposed amendment be denied.

It was originally thought that increased restrictions on'the.
location of alcoholic beverage outlets would be desirable.' However,
since new definitions have recently been adopted regarding the.various
types of outlets, it is believed that no change needs to be made in
location restrictions at this time,
