A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING
THE DENIAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF
SAID CITY TO REZONE FROM MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL LOW DENSITY (RML) TO
NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS (BN) THAT PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION

WHEREAS the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds,
pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on
a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of said City to
redesignate the real property described in Planning Commission File
No. R-3-69 from Multiple Residential Low Density (RML) to Neighborhood
Business (BN); and
WHEREAS, having made the.findings set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that the real
property described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto should not be
redesignated; be it
RESOLVED, that recommendation be and the same hereby is
made to the.City Council of the City of Edmonds that the proposed
amendment be denied.

Exhibit "A"
The.area containing the subject property lacks adequate streets for
vehicular access. Additional neighborhood zoning is not needed at
this intersection.
Exhibit "B"
Parcel #1: LEGAL DESCRIPTION:

Tract 18, block 5, Alderwood Manor No. 9, according to Plat
thereof recorded in Volume 10 of Plats, Page 6, Records of
Snohomish County Washington, except the following described
tracts of land:
A. Beginning at the Southwest corner of said tract, thence
North along the West line thereof 160 feet, thence East
120 feet, thence South 85.76 feet to the North margin
of Bowdoin Way, as shown on said Plat; thence South-
westerly following the margin of Bowdoin Way, 142 feet
more or less to the point of beginning.
B. Beginning at the Southeast corner of said tract,
thence North along the East line thereof 120 feet; thence
West 100 feet; thence South 167.23 feet to the North
margin of Bowdoin Way; thence North 64 degrees 43 minutes
East along the margin of Bowdoin Way 110.59 feet to the
point of beginning.
C. Beginning at the Southeast corner of said tract, thence
South 64 degrees 43 minutes West along the North margin
of Bowdoin Way; 110.59 feet to the true point of begin-
ning, the said point being the Southwest corner of tract
deeded to the City of Edmonds on February 19, 1960, under
deed recorded in Snohomish County Auditor's Office File
No. IIQ5g54 , thence North and parallel to
the East line of said tract 18 - 167.23 feet; thence
West 50 feet; thence South and parallel to the East line
of said tract 190.84 feet, more or less, to the North
margin of Bowdoin Way; thence North 64 degrees 43 minutes
East along said margin to the true point of beginning.
Parcel #2: All that portion of Lot 19, Block 5, Alderwood Manor No. 9, as
recorded in Volume 10 of Plats, page 6, Records of Snohomish
County, Washington, lying Westerly of County Road Survey #1204 and
Northerly of a line beginning at a point on the West line of said
Lot 19, 376.7 feet North of SW corner of said lot and running
thence North 64 degrees 43 minutes East to the Westerly line of
said Road Survey #1204, Records of Snohomish County, Washington.
