RESOLUTION NO. 618
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING
APPROVAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP TO
CONTRACT REZONE FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL 8,000 SQUARE FEET TO
MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL - LOW DENSITY (RS-8.70RI/IL) THE PROPERTY
LOCATED AT LOT 5, WILLOWBROOK DIVISION #1, AS SET FORTH IN FILE # R-2-79.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds,
pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing
on a proposal to amend the Official Zoning Map to contract rezone
from Single Family Residential 8,000 square feet to Multiple Family
Residential - Low Density (RS-8 to RML) the property located at
Lot 5, Willowbrook Division #1; and
WHEREAS, the surrounding area to the north, east and west
is zoned either RML or RD; and
WHEREAS, RML will allow development which is compatible
with adjoining development to the north, east and west; and
WHEREAS, RML zoning will conform with the Comprehensive
Plan; and
WHEREAS, there has been a finding of no significant
environmental impact on the proposed amendment; and
WHEREAS, said amendment appears to be in the best interest
of the public health, safety and general welfare of the community;
now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission recommends
and forwards to the City Council of said City, that the proposed
amendment to the Official Zoning Map as set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, be approved.
