RESOLUTION NO. 623
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS
RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL
STREET MAP TO REDUCE THE PROPOSED STREET WIDTH FROM 70 FEET
TO 60 FEET AND VACATE THAT PORTION OF THE RIGHT-OF-WAY IN
EXCESS OF 60 FEET ALONG 76TH AVENUE 14EST BETWEEN 224TH STREET S.W.
AND THE INTERSECTION OF 76TH AVENUE WEST AND PACIFIC HIGHWAY 99
AS SET FORT IN FILE # ST-4-79.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds,
pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing
on a proposal to amend the Official Street Map to reduce the proposed
street width from 70 feet_to_60 feet and vacate that portion of the
tight -of -way in excess of 60 feet along 76th Avenue West -between
224th Street S.W. and the intersection of 76th Avenue West and
Pacific Highway 99 as set forth in File ST-4-79; and
WHEREAS, no further expansion of that portion of
76th Avenue West is planned; and
WHEREAS, the vacation of that portion of the
76th Avenue West right-of-way shall not landlock or deny access
to any properties; and
WHEREAS, there is a finding of no significant adverse
environmental impact on the proposed change to the Official Street
Map; and
WHEREAS, said action shall promote the public health,
safety and general welfare, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission recommends
and forwards to the City Council of said City, that the proposed
amendment to the Official Street Map as set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, be approve;l.
