RESOLUTION NO. 624
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING
APPROVAL OF A SHORELINE MANAGEMENT SUBSTANTIAL DEVELOPPIENT PERMIT
TO CONSTRUCT A RESTAURANT, RETAIL AND OFFICE SPACE AT
181 WEST DAYTON STREET AS SET FORTH IN FILE SM-1-79.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds,
pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing
on a proposal to grant a Shoreline Management Substantial Development
Permit to construct a restaurant, retail and office space at
181 West Dayton Street; and
WHEREAS, the proposal is consistent with the intent and
regulations of the Commercial Waterfront (CW) zone, the Edmonds
Policy Plan, and Edmonds Shoreline Management Master Program; and
WHEREAS, the proposed uses encourage public access and
enjoyment of the Waterfront; and
WHEREAS, the applicant is offering a dedication to the
City of approximately 4,500 square feet of open space to expand
the Waterfront Park area; and
WHEREAS, there is a finding of no significant adverse
environmental impact from the proposed action; and
WHEREAS, this Shoreline Management Substantial Development
Permit is necessary to promote the public health, safety and general
welfare; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission recommends
and forwards to the City Council of said City, that the proposed
Shoreline Management Substantial Development Permit be approved.
