RESOLUTION NO. 628
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING
APPROVAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP TO REZONE
FROM RML (MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL - LOW DENSITY) TO CG (GENERAL
COMMERCIAL) PROPERTY LOCATED NORTH OF 224TH STREET S.W. BETWEEN
76TH AVENUE WEST AND HIGHWAY 99 AS SET FORTH IN FILE #R-5-79
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds,
pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on
a proposal to amend the Official Zoning Map to rezone from RML (Multiple
Family Residential - Low Density) to CG (General Commercial) property
located north of 224th Street S.W. between 76th Avenue West and
Highway 99;as set forth in File #R-5-79
WHEREAS, the proposed zoning conforms with the Comprehensive
Land Use Map; and
WHEREAS, the proposed use complies with Edmonds. Policy Plan; and
WHEREAS, the proposed zoning will be consistent with other
zoning in the area; and
WHEREAS, there is a finding of no significant adverse
environmental impact on the proposed amendment; and
WHEREAS, said amendment is necessary to promote the public
health, safety and general welfare; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission recommends
and forwards to the City Council of said City, that the proposed
rezone of property legally described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto,
be approved.
