Resolution 323PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 323 A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY.OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING AN AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING ORDINANCE, SECTION 12.13.270, BY AMENDING.PARAGRAPH 25 OF THIS SECTION "PERMITTED USES" TO READ "MOBILE HOMES OR TRAILER PARKS AND COURTS, AS REGULATED BY SECTION 12.13.390 (RMP ZONE)", IN ACCORDANCE WITH.PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. ZO-5-69 ITEM 2 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds, pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on a proposed.amendment to the Official Zoning Ordinance, Section 12.13.2701, by amending Paragraph 25 of this section entitled "Per- mitted Uses'.' to read as follows: "Mobile homes or trailer.parks and courts, as regulated by Section 12.13.390 (RMP Zone)." WHEREAS, having made the.findings set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that Sec- tion 12.13.270 should be amended to require the application of Mobile Home Park development standards to the General Commercial (CG) Zone; now, therefore,. BE IT RESOLVED.by.the Planning Commission of said City that recommendation be and the same hereby is made to the.City Council of the City of Edmonds that Section 12.13.270 of the Official Zoning Ordinance be so amended. New mobile homes comprise 900 of all new single family homes under $15,000'in value. It is anticipated that many of'these structures will be located in the south Snohomish County area. The General Commercial zone presently permits mobile home parks, yet no development standards are included in the Zoning Ordinance text to guarantee the orderly development of such parks.
