Resolution 631PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 631 A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A PROPOSED SHORELINE MANAGEMENT SUBSTANTIAL DEVELOPMENT PERMIT TO PROVIDE A PERMANENT OFF-STREET PUBLIC PARKING FACILITY AT THE INTERSECTION OF RAILROAD AVENUE AND DAYTON STREET (NORTHWEST CORNER) AS SET FORTH IN FILE #SM-5-79 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds, pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on an application for a Shoreline Management Substantial Development Permit to provide a permanent off-street public parking facility by installing drainage, grading, paving, landscaping and lighting at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Dayton Street (northwest corner) as set forth in File #Sm-5-79; and WHEREAS, it is desirable to provide parking facilities for water oriented uses to increase the ease of public access to the waterfront; and WHEREAS, the proposed improvements to the existing gravel lot will make it more attractive for the neighbors and the citizens of the City of Edmonds; and WHEREAS, this proposal is consistent with the regulations of the Commercial Waterfront (CW) zone, the Edmonds Policy Plan, and the City of Edmonds Shoreline Master Program; and WHEREAS, there is a finding of no significant adverse environmental impact on -.-the proposed pertnit and - WHEREAS, said permit is necessary to promote the public health, safety and general welfare; now therefore BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission recommends and forwards to the City Council of said City, that the proposed Shoreline Management Substantial Development Permit as set forth in in Exhibit "A" attached i.� hereto, be appro ed - DATED this day of - 1979 Chai . n Edmonds Planning Commission FILE # SM-5-79 HEARING: August 22, 1979 INITIATED BY: Staff 5 i; Q v Nc)j`J".4U Q J
