RESOLUTION NO. 327
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING
AN AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING.MAP OF SAID CITY TO REZONE FROM
SINGLE RESIDENTIAL 8000 SQUARE FEET (RS-8) TO RESIDENTIAL DUPLEX (RD)
THAT PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-9-69
WHEREAS the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds,
pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on
a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of said City to
redesignate the real property described in Planning Commission File
No. R-9-69 from Single Residential 8,000 square feet (RS-8) to
Residential Duplex (RD); and
WHEREAS, having made the findings set forth in Exhibit
"A" attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that the
real property described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto should be
designated Residential Duplex (RD); now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that recommendation be and the same hereby is
made to the City Council of the City of Edmonds that the proposed
amendment be approved.

EXHIBIT '.'A"
The City has adopted a policy encouraging the development
of apartments along 196th Street S. W. generally for a
depth of about 300 feet back from the.street. The.south
line of this property lies within 100 feet of 196th
Street S. W. The property is surrounded on three sides
by apartment and business zoning.

That parcel of land described as follows:
Lot 1 thru 7 inclusive Block 1 park addition to Edmonds,
according to the.plat thereof recorded in volume 2 of
plats page 88 records of Snohomish County, Washington,
together with the East 25' of vacated 77th Avenue
(Central Street) adjoining Lot 7.
