RESOLUTION NO. 632
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING
APPROVAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP FOR A
CONTRACT REZONE FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL 8,000 SQUARE FEET
(RS-8) TO NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS (BN) THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT
23107 100TH AVENUE WEST AS SET FORTH IN FILE #R-6-79
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds,
pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on
a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map for a contract
rezone from Single Family Residential, 8,000 square feet (RS-8), to
Neighborhood Business (BN) the property located at
23107 100th Avenue West as set forth in File #R-6-79; and
WHEREAS, the proposed zoning conforms to the intent of
the Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the rezone as proposed should provide a buffer
use between the commercial uses to the north and the residential
area south; and
WHEREAS, this neighborhood has undergone changes caused
by increased traffic and commercial development and the proposed
use of the property for professional offices is appropriate for
the area; and
WHEREAS, there is a finding of no significant adverse
environmental impact on the proposed amendment; and
WHEREAS, said amendment is necessary to promote the
public health, safety and general welfare; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission recommends
and forwards to the City Council of said City, that the proposed
amendment to the Official Zoning Map as set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, be approved. n
