RESOLUTION NO. 638
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING
APPROVAL OF A SHORELINE MANAGEMENT SUBSTANTIAL DEVELOPMENT PERMIT
TO CONSTRUCT A COMMERCIAL BUILDING WITH RESTAURANT AND RETAIL SPACE
AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF ADMIRAL WAY AND DAYTON STREET AS SET FORTH
IN FILE #SM-7-79
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds,
pursuant to proper notice and publication held a public hearing on a
proposed Shoreline Management Substantial Development Permit to construct
a commercial building with restaurant and retail space at the southwest
corner of Admiral Way and Dayton Street, as set forth in File-#SM-7-79;
and
WHEREAS, this proposal is consistent with the Edmonds
Shorelines Master Program; and
WHEREAS, the development will meet the requirements of the
Edmonds Policy Plan, the Zoning Code and will be reviewed by the
Architectural Design Board; and
WHEREAS, the applicant has agreed to change the name of the
project so as not to conflict with the existing city beach called
Brackett's Landing; and
WHEREAS, there is a finding of no significant adverse
environmental impact on the proposed amendment; and
WHEREAS, said permit is necessary to promote the public
health, safety and general welfare; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission recommends
and forwards to the City Council of said City, that the proposed
Shoreline Management Substantial Development Permit, be approved.
