RESOLUTION NO. 337
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMEND-
ING APPROVAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF
SAID CITY TO REZONE.FROM SINGLE RESIDENTIAL 8000 SQUARE FEET (RS-8)
TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL (CG) THAT PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING
COMMISSION FILE NO. R-4-70.
WHEREAS the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds,
pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing
on a proposed amendment to the.Official Zoning Map of said City to
redesignate the.real property described in Planning Commission
File No. R-4-70 from Single Residential 8000 Square Feet (RS-8)
to General Commercial (CG); and
WHEREAS, having made the findings set -forth in Exhibit
"A" attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that the
real property described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto should be
redesignated; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that recommendation be and the same
hereby is made to the.City Council of the City of Edmonds that the
proposed amendment be approved.

After relocation of'SR 104 this parcel'of land will be
partially surrounded'.by.the.limited access highway and
will have.only a limited.frontage on Lake Ballinger.Way.
The.property will abut only one other property and that
is the.P.U.D. right-of-way on the.west. To the.west of
the.P.U.D: right-of.way all otherproperties are zoned
General Commercial. Approval of'this rezone should
not encourage the.establishment of'a strip commercial
zone further.east along Lake Ballinger Way.
