RESOLUTION NO. 650
A RESOLUTION OT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS
RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A PROPOSED VACATION OF RIGHT-OF-WAY
AND AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL STREET MAP TO REMOVE A PORTION OF
4TH AVENUE SOUTH, NORTH OF SR104, AS SET FORTH IN FILE #ST-2-80
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds,
pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing
on the proposed vacation of right-of-way and amendment to the
Official Street Map to remove a portion of 4th Avenue South, located
north of SR104 and south of the existing pavement of 4th Avenue South,
as set forth in File #ST-2-80; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Public Works Departments have
determined that 4th Avenue South cannot be extended to the south
due to SR104; and
WHEREAS, there is a finding of no significant adverse
environmental impact on these actions; and
WHEREAS, said amendment and vacation are necessary to
promote the public health, safety and general welfare; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission recommends
and forwards to the City Council of said City, that the proposed
street vacation and amendment to the Official Street Map as set
forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, be approved.
