EXHIBIT "A"
The proper use of the subject property is single family development,
as originally established by Snohomish County in 1957. The City has
officially adopted a policy (Council Resolution No. 219) of discour-
aging the intrusion of commercial and apartment development into the
low -density residential areas along U.S.99 . Existing street and
drainage facilities are inadequate to handle the increased traffic
and storm water run-off resulting from intensive development of the
subject property. Numerous residents in the vicinity believe the
present zoning will allow development which would diminish their
property values and neighborhood character.
