EXHIBIT:"A"
It was the Commission's findings that a school bus shelter which
would have off -premise advertising would be a detriment to the
aesthetic quality of the city and could foster crime. The City
has taken numerous steps over the years to prohibit outdoor
advertising in residential areas and off -premise advertising in
business areas. Sign control provisions have been adopted in
1964, 1968 and 1970 which consistently express the City's desire
to control visual blight. The approval of this proposal would
be contrary to the City's efforts promoting the economic health
and physical attractiveness of this community.
