Res Doces vs. Edmonds
Dear Wes:
Mayer advis a that he hastL
with Mr. D a
couple 0 a cancer posslbUlty. utually acce le
solution Mr. Doces z roblem s. l' further advised #
the two C ..= hsve reac tenetive so iicra.
The proposed solution to that Mr. Doces dedicate to the City
a 80 foot right-of-way off the east edge of his property* in exchange
for a General Commercial zoning for all of his land between the store
and the right-of-way. This would leave an 801 z 180' residential lot
on the northeast corner. The 60' right-of-way would provide a 80'
wide greenbelt on the east half of the right-of-way and a 84' wide
asphalt street lth a S' wide sidewalk on the west half of the right -of
way. This" would create a buffer between the commercial and residen-
tial zones.
The Mayor has suggested to one that he propose the matter
to the Planning Commission for their consideration and report to the
City Council, the same of course being recommended by the Mayor.
He will not do so, however, if it were to be used against the City in
any way in the lawsuit. The proposal is basically a compromise
proposed by the Mayer and Mr. Doces and neither the application,
outcome nor proceedings should be admitted in the trial.
Of course it is understood that if the proposal is accepted
basicailp in tact by the Planning Commission and the City Council
