RESOLUTION NO. 387
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMEND-
ING APPROVAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP
OF SAID CITY TO REZONE FROM MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL, LOW DENSITY (RML)
AND SINGLE RESIDENTIAL, 8,000 SQUARE FEET (RS-8) TO DUPLEX (RD)
THAT PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-5-72.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds,
pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing
on a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of said City
to redesignate certain real property from Multiple Residential,
Low Density (RML) and Single Residential, 8,000 Square Feet (RS-8)
to Duplex (RD), and
WHEREAS, having made the findings set forth in Exhibit
"A" attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that the
real property described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto should be
redesignated; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that recommendation be and the same here-
by is made to the City Council of the City of Edmonds that the
proposed amendment be approved.

EXHIBIT "A"
This proposal generally conforms to the Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
Rezoning would result in about the same number of dwelling units as
now allowed under RS-8 and RML zoning. This proposal is essentially
an exchange of similar development rights and should be approved.

The south half of the.east half of the west half of
the southwest quarter of the.southeast quarter of
Section 18, T 27 N, R 4E, W.M.: EXCEPT the south
30.00 feet and EXCEPT the.east 20.00 feet thereof.
(Also known as Lots 19 and 20,' Maplewood Gardens,
an unrecorded plat.)
