RESOLUTION NO. 393
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS
RECOMMENDING DENIAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFI-
CIAL ZONING ORDINANCE SEC. 12.13.150 ALLOWING AUTOMOTIVE
RETAIL AND REPAIR ACTIVITIES IN NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS
(BN) ZONED AREAS, AS SET FORTH IN PLANNING COMMISSION
FILE NO. ZO-9-72.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City
of Edmonds pursuant to proper notice and publication,
held a public hearing on a proposal to amend the Official
Zoning Ordinance, Section 12.13.090, by allowing automotive
retail and repair activities in Neighborhood Business (BN)
zoned areas, and,
WHEREAS, having made the findings that there
was no need or benefit to the City of Edmonds in allowing
such activities in Neighborhood Business Zones and that
such uses are incompatible with the other activities allowed
and would probably create problems for adjoining residents,
the Planning Commission determined that the Official Zoning
Ordinance should not be amended as proposed by Exhibit "A"
attached; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of
said City that recommendation be.and the same hereby is made
to said City Council that the proposed amendment be denied.

J. Automobile and motorcycle repair, washing and parts
retail establishments subject to a Conditional Use
Permit grant by the.Board of Adjustment which shall
review the.following aspects of the proposed activi-
ty: building and property size'in relation to ad-
joining land uses, possible noise problems, screening
and landscaping.
