Resolution 400PLAICIING COtVIISSION RESOLUTION NO. 400 A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY'OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING THAT CERTAIN PROPERTIES DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. AZ-2-72, RECENTLY ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF EMDS AND ZONED BY THE COUNTY AS RURAL USE, BE REZONED TO CW, COMMERCIAL WATERFRONT. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds, pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing to establish City zoning classification on the real property, described in Planning Commission File No. AZ-2-72 recently annexed to the City by Ordinance Number 1624; and WHEREAS, having made the findings set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that the real property described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto should be rezoned from County Rural Use, (RU) to Edmonds Commercial Waterfront, (CW); now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED that recommm adation be and the same hereby is made to said City Council that the proposed zoning classification be approved. Resolution No. 400 EXHIBIT "A" The subject property is bounded on the northwest and northeast by City of Edmonds Commercial Waterfront zoning, on the south- west by City of Edmonds Public Use zoning and on the southeast by County Rural Use zoning. The property is being used as a boat sales and repair business which is classified as a Commer- cial Waterfront use. It is the Commission's belief that CW zoning is more appropriate than any other type of district. P. C. Resolution No. 400 EXHIBIT "8" Description of area to be zoned Commercial Waterfront (CW) That portion of Government Lot 1 in Section 26, Township 27 "forth, Ranee 3 East, W.M., in Snoh- omish County, Washington, described as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the original westerly line of the Great Northern Railway Company's right-of-way with the north line of said Government Lot 1, said point of intersection being 688.03 feet westerly of the northeast corner of said Government Lot 1 (Also known as the north quarter corner of said Sec- tion 26) and being the True Point of Beginning of the tract herein described; thence South 41' 48'00" West, a distance of 54.17 feet; thence South 48'12'00" East, &"distance of 150.00 feet to an intersection with the westerly margin of the Burlington Northern Railway Company's right- of-way; thence North 41*48100" East, along the westerly marlin of Burling Northern Railway Company's right-of-way, to an intersection with the north line of said Government Lot 1; thence westerly, along the north line of said Government Lot 1, to the True Point of Beginning.
