A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMEND-
ING DENIAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE
CITY OF EDMONDS TO REZONE FROM SINGLE RESIDENTIAL, TWENTY THOUSAND
SQUARE FEET (RS-20) TO SINGLE RESIDENTIAL, TWELVE THOUSAND SQUARE
FEET (RS-12) THAT PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO.
R-3-73.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of
Edmonds, pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public
hearing on a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of said
City to redesignate certain property from Single Residential, Twenty
Thousand square feet (RS-20) to Single Residential, Twelve Thousand
square feet (RS-12), and
WHEREAS, having made the findings set forth in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that
the real property described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto should
not be redesignated; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that recommendation be and the
same hereby is made to the City Council of the City of Edmonds that
the proposed amendment be denied.

"EXHIBIT A"
It was the finding of the Planning Commission that the designation of
Single Family Residential, Twenty Thousand Square Feet (RS-20) should
not be changed to Single Family Residential, Twelve Thousand Square
Feet (RS-12) as the Commission felt that Single Family Residential,
Eight Thousand Square Feet (RS-8) is more compatible with the adjoin-
ing land use. The Commission had reviewed the minutes of the City
Council requesting the Commission to rehear this case as proposed
RS-12 zoning and could find no reason for the Councils denial of the
proposed RS-8 zoning. The Planning Commission felt that without addi-
tional information they would not have a valid reason for changing
their original decision.

corded in Vol. 5 of plats, page 38 records of Snohomish
County, Wa., lying adjacent to and Easterly of the follow-
ing described line. Beginning at a point on the South line
of said tract lying 240.00 feet Westerly from the Southeast
corner of said tract; thence N 13'00'W 218.00 ft. thence
N 11*00' E 80.00 ft.; thence N 29*00' E 100.00 feet; thence
N 7.00' E 145.00 ft.; thence N 1*00' E 115.00 ft. (more or
less) to the North line of said tract and terminus of said
line.
