Resolution 417PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 417 A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMEND- ING APPROVAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS TO REZONE FROM SINGLE RESIDENTIAL, TWENTY THOU- SAND SQUARE FEET (RS-20) TO SINGLE RESIDENTIAL, EIGHT THOUSAND SQUARE FEET (RS-8) THAT PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-4-73. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds, pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of said City to redesignate certain property from Single Residential, Twenty Thousand square feet (RS-20) to Single Residential, Eight Thousand square feet (RS-8), and WHEREAS, having made the findings set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that the real property described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto should be redesignated; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED that recommendation be and the same hereby is made to the City Council of the City of Edmonds that the proposed amendment be approved. Resolution No. 417 "FYHTRTT A" It was the finding of the Planning Commission that the designation of Single Family Residential, Twenty Thousand Square Feet (RS-20) should be changed to Single Family Residential, Eight Thousand Square Feet (RS-8) as this would allow a controlled, orderly development of the land. It is in keeping with and maintaining the general lot size and configuration in the immediate vicinity. The proposed zoning is sep- arated from the existing zoning by a natural "steep sloped" barrier. That the proposed zoning would not be detrimental to the general pub- lic health and welfare. P. C. Resolution No. 417 "EXHIBIT B" Legal description of proposed rezone property: That portion of Tract 126, Meadowdale Beach Tracts, as recorded in Vol. 5 of plats, page 38 records of Snoho- mish County, Was., lying adjacent to and Easterly of the following described line. Beginnning at a point on the south line of said tract lying 240.00 feet Westerly from the Southeast corner of said tract; thence N 13.00' W 218.00 ft. thence N 11700' E 80.00 ft.; thence N 29*00' E 100.00 feet; thence N 8*00' E 145.00 ft.; thence N 1*00' E 115.00 ft. (more or less) to the.North line of said tract and terminus of said line.
