RESOLUTION NO. 422
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING
APPROVAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL STREET MAP OF SAID
CITY TO REDUCE THE PROPOSED 60 FOOT RIGHT-OF-WAY TO 50 FEET ON 8TH
AVENUE NORTH BETWEEN CASPER STREET AND DALEY STREET, AS SET FORTH IN
PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. ST-6-73.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds,
pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on
a proposal to amend the Official Street Map of said City by reducing
the proposed 60 foot right-of-way to 50 feet on 8th Avenue North be-
tween Casper Street and Daley Street as previously adopted; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the
proposed right-of-way of 50 feet will help most of the people in
the area, and
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department of the City of Edmonds
determined that the old surveys on this proposed street were in error
as much as 15 to 20 feet, and
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department of the City of Edmonds
engaged Reid, Middleton & Associates, Inc. to do a new survey with a
right-of-way of 50 feet for 8th Avenue North, said survey being shown
on Reid, Middleton & Associates, Inc. File No. 1.343-A, Revised 8-9-72,
attached, and
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds now holds deeds to a right-of-
way of 50 feet for the street; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of said City that
recommendation be and the same hereby is made to said City Council that
the proposed amendment to the Official Street Map be approved.
