Resolution 433.41r PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. '433 A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS TO REZONE FROM RS-6 TO OPEN SPACE, THAT PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-1-74. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds, pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of said City to redesignate certain property from Single Family Residence, Six Thousand Square Feet (RS-6) to Open Space, and WHEREAS, having made the findings set forth in "Exhibit A" attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that the real property described in "Exhibit B" attached hereto should be redesignated; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission recom- mends and forwards to the City Council of the City of Edmonds, that proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds to rezone from Single Family Residence, Six Thousand Square Feet, (RS6) to Open Space, be approved. Resolution -No. 433 "EXHIBIT A" It was the finding of the Planning Commission that the designation of Single Family Residential, Six Thousand Square Feet (RS6) should be changed to Open Space as the Recreation Director for the City of Edmonds indicated that this parcel would be an asset to the City of Edmonds Park System. It also has historical significance to the City as an early water supply source. Rezone was also requested by several neighbors in the vicinity who approached the Council. The proposed zoning would serve general public health,safety and welfare. P.C. Resolution No. 433 "EXHIBIT B" Legal description of proposed rezone property: The unplatted portion of the SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 in Section 25, Township 27 North, Range 3 East of W.M., being that tract of land in Yost's First Addition to Edmonds, lying north of the County Road.
