RESOLUTION NO. '447
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING
APPROVAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY
OF EDMONDS TO REZONE FROM NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS (BN), TO MULTIPLE RESI-
DENTIAL HIGH DENSITY (RMH), THAT PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION
FILE NO. R-4-74.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds, pursuant
to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on a proposed
amendment to the Official Zoning Map of said City, to re -designate certain
property from Neighborhood Business (BN), to Multiple Residential High
Density (RMH), and
WHEREAS, having made the findings set forth in "Exhibit A"
attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that the real property
described in "Exhibit B" attached hereto and designated in maps attached,
should be re -designated; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission recommends and
forwards to the City Council of the City of Edmonds, that the proposed
amendment to rezone that certain real property described in "Exhibit B",
be approved.

"EXHIBIT A"
Planning Commission findings indicate the following:
1. AlmoSt 53% (52.92) of the land within the City zoned for commercial
use is either vacant or utilized as a combination of commercial
property and non-commercial use.
2. The parcel recommended for rezone abutts BN to the east, public use
and RML to the west and RML to the north.
3. The parcel is on a street designated Community Arterial near an
intersection of three community arterial streets.

Legal description of proposed rezone property:
All that portion of Lot 19, Block 5, Alderwood Manor No. 9, according
to plat recorded in Volume 10 of plats, Page 6, records of Snohomish
County, Washington, described as follows: Commencing at the most
southerly corner of said Lot 19; thence northerly alor g:wes;t line of
said lot 198 ft; thence northeasterly parallel to the southerly line
of said Lot 19 a distance of 100�. feet; thence southerly parallel to
the west line of said lot to the north boundary of Bowdoin Way; thence
southwesterly along said north boundary for 100 feet to the point of
beginning.
