Resolution 009RESOLUTION NO. WHEREAS, certain property is proposed to be annexed to the City of Edmonds and is in need of zoning, and WHEREAS, the public hearing on the proposed zoning of the said property, hereinafter identified, was held on October 20, 1958, after proper notice was given by posting and publication as required by law, and WHEREAS, the zoning of the said property will require an addition to the of- ficial zoning map of Edmonds, Washington, dated December 3, 1957, NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED: That the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds hereby recommends the adoption of that certain map, dated October 20, 1958, File No. 8. 28, zoning the said property as M-1, R-C, P, R-6A and R-8 in accordance with said map, three copies of which map are hereto attached and made a part hereof, and three copies of which map shall be attached to the official zoning plan and official zoning map of the City of Edmonds and made a part thereof. That the property to be so zoned is described as follows: Beginning at a point on the west margin of 84th Ave. W. , 60 feet west of the southwest corner of Lot 7, Hawarden Tracts, according to the plat thereof; thence east to the southeast corner of said Lot 7, thence south to the southwest corner of Lot 11; thence along the south line of said Lot 11 and said line extended east to the east margin of Roberts Road; thence north to the southwest corner of Lot 28; thence east to the southeast corner of said Lot 28, all within said Hawarden Tracts; thence south to the southwest corner of Lot 1, Block 3, Alderwood Manor No. 9, according to the plat thereof; thence east to the southeast corner of said Lot 1; thence north to a point west of the southwest corner of the north two-thirds of the north half of the west half of the northwest quarter of the northeast quarter of the northeast quarter (N 2/3 N 1/2 W 1/2 NW 1/4 NE 1/4 NE 1/4) section 30, township 27 north, range 4 east, W. M. ; thence east to the southeast corner of the said north two-thirds of the north half of the west half of the northwest quarter of the northeast quarter of the northeast quarter, being the west line of the Edmonds Senior High School property, thence south to the southwest corner of the east three -fourths of the northeast quar- ter of the northeast quarter (E 3/4 NE 1/4 NE 1/4) of said section 30; thence east to the east margin of 76th Ave. W. ; thence north to the southwest corner of Lot 3, Forshee's Upland Tracts, according to the plat thereof; thence east to the southeast corner of said Lot 3; thence south to the southwest corner of Lot 2; thence east to the southeast corner of Lot 1, all within said plat of Forshee's Upland Tracts; thence south to the southwest corner of Tract 2, Solner's Five Acre Tracts, according to the plat thereof, thence east along the south margins of Tracts 2, 3 and 4 to the southeast corner of said Tract 4; thence south, along the welt margin of 72nd Ave. W. , 243. 76 feet; thence East 198. 00 feet; thence South 63. 00 feet; thence East to the west margin of State Road No. 1 (U. S. Highway 99); thence northeasterly along' said west margin of State Road No. 1 to intersect the north line of Tract 21; thence west to the southwest corner of Tract 5 (the east margin of 72nd Ave. W. ), thence north along said east margin to an intersection with the north margin of 212th St. S. W. ; thence West, along the north margin of said 212th St. S. W. to intersect the west margin of 84th Ave. W. and the existing City of Edmonds corporate limits; thence south along the west margin of 84th Ave. W. to the point of beginning,- lo- cated in Snohomish County, State of Washington. That the reasons for zoning the addition as recommended are as follows: 1. That the property identified on said map is being used substantially in accordance with the zoning herein recommended. Z. That the people who attended the public hearing for the proposed zoning of the said addition to the City of Edmonds were all in favor of the zoning as recom- mended by the Planning Commission on the said maps hereto attached, with the following exceptions: 3. That the said addition, if zoned as recommended, will be in harmony with the comprehensive plan of land us-e in the City of Edmonds and the comprehen- sive plan of land use in the area to be annexed.
