A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND THE AMENDMENT OF OFFICIAL MAP "A" (DESIGNATED THE
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN) AND OFFICIAL MAP "B" OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS BY REZONING
CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM R-6 (ONE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO R-6A (MULTIPLE RESI-
DENTIAL) IN ACCORDANCE WITH PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-14-63.
WHEREAS the 20th day of November, 1963, at 8:00 p.m., was the date and
time set for public hearing to amend the Zoning Code and Official Maps of the
City of Edmonds by rezoning from R-6 (One Family Residential) to R-6A
(Multiple Residential) property commonly known as that property facing on
the West side of 6th Avenue W. and adjacent to the northerly boundary of the
Edmonds Junior High School, and legally described as:
The East 168 feet of the following described tract:
That portion of Government Lot 2, Section 24, Township 27 North,
R3E, W.M., described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the West line of 6th Street,
and the center line of Glen St., as established in the Town of Edmonds,
which point is 633.55 feet, more or less, East and 147.77 feet,
more or less, North of the Quarter corner between Sections 23
and 24; thence North 119.7 feet, more or less, to the NE corner
of Edmonds High School Tract and the true point of beginning;
thence West along the North line of said tract 336.3 feet, more
or less, to the Easterly line of 4th St. as now established;
thence Northerly along said Easterly line, 70 feet; thence East
336.3 feet, more or less, to the West line of 6th St. produced;
thence South 70 feet, more or less, to the true point of beginning;
and
WHEREAS, at the time and date fixed for said public hearing to consider
rezoning of said area, it appeared that proper notice and publication had
been effected; and
WHEREAS, after due consideration of present existing use and surrounding
neighborhood zoning, it appears that zoning classification of R-6A, Multiple
Family Residential, is the most consistent with the advantageous development
and appropriate use of said property and the health, safety, morals and
general welfare of the public;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the City
of Edmonds that recommendation be made to the City Council of said City that
the above described property be zoned R-6A and that Official Map "A" (designated
the Comprehensive Plan) of the City of Edmonds be so amended by adding thereto
Engineer's Drawing No. /1 - 3 3 ; and

the above described property be zoned R-C and that Official Map "A" (desig-
nated the Comprehensive Plan) of the City of Edmonds be so amended by adding
thereto Engineer's Drawing No. 4 -- � and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds
that recommendation be made to the City Council of said City that Official
Map "B" (designated the Zoning Map) of the City of Edmonds be so amended by
adding thereto Engineer's Drawing No. R —
