EDMONDS PARKING COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
July 18, 2012, 3:30 PM
Present: Stephen Clifton, Bertrand Hauss, Kristiana Johnson, Adrienne Fraley-Monillas, David Thorpe,
Ron Wambolt and Karen Wiggins.
The meeting was called to order at 3:34 PM.
Corrections were noted for the meeting minutes for June.
• Kristiana's name was not spelled correctly.
• In reference to the location of the Port of Edmonds lot for possible use, it is located SOUTH of
the Sound Transit lot, not north as had been noted.
• Finally, the committee decided to have Bertrand survey residents in the AFFECTED area, not the
effected area.
Currently there are 9 Rideshare and 362 Employee Parking Permits for 2012
Sounder Parking. Stephen confirmed that the Port of Edmonds lot south of the Sound Transit lot cannot
be used for parking at this time. Only during construction was that lot available on a temporary basis.
The committee is still looking at having parking stickers being used by Edmonds residents. Also other
streets for possible parking being discussed are Railroad Avenue, between Dayton and Main and maybe
down by Bracketts Landing. Stephen will talk to Bob McChesney, Executive Director of the Port of
Edmonds, about the lot south of Sound Transit for use as a paid parking lot. Details on this and the
possibility of additional spaces around Harbor Square will be heard at the September meeting.
No current information on parking enforcement.
Karen is going to invite Carrie Hite back to the September meeting to hear her thoughts about keeping
Bracketts Landing parking open to a later time.
Bertrand updated four issues:
1) 3 hour parking restrictions on 3`d Avenue So. from Walnut to Pine have been put in place.
2) The survey has been sent out to the residents on both 4th and 6th Avenue, from Howell all the
way to the south end. The results will be presented at the September meeting.
3) Parking stall at 111 Sunset Avenue is finished.
4) The issue of 200th Street SW, across the street form Maplewood Elementary, to go from "No
Parking Anytime" to "No Parking Monday thru Friday". Bertrand will wait until school is in
session to survey the residents.
The August Parking Committee Meeting is canceled. The next meting is September 05, 2012.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:25 PM.
