Resolution 083RESOLUTION NO. WHEREAS, on June 14th, 15th and 16th, 1963, the sixth annual Edmonds Arts Festival was held, and WHEREAS, this annual event has attracted much attention and brought publicity and additional visitors to the City of Edmonds, and WHEREAS, through its efforts in promoting and producing the annual arts festival, the Edmonds Arts Festival Association is bringing each year additional benefits to the City of Edmonds, both through an increase as a tourist attraction and as a recognized Arts center in the Pacific Northwest, and WHEREAS, the sponsors of the annual exhibit are local citizens who de- vote much time and furnish financial help and advice, and WHEREAS, the committee of the Arts Festival Association producing the exhibit is composed of volunteers who devote a great deal of time and effort to the Annual Arts Festival, thus contributing to its increasing success and value as a communityproject, and WHEREAS, the Mayor, City officials and Council of the City of Edmonds, personally, and on behalf of all of the citizens of Edmonds, wish to commend the efforts of the Edmonds Arts Festival Association, the sponsors and the committee for the interesting and successful production of this Annual Festival, NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Edmonds, the Mayor and other City Officials, personally, and on behalf of all of the citizens of Edmonds, hereby commend and congratulate the Edmonds Arts Festival Association, the sponsors and the committee of the Edmonds Annual Arts Festival, and thank them for their unselfish and whole -hearted efforts in making the festival an unqualified success. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the Council meeting of July 2nd, 1963, and a duplicate original hereof be delivered to the Edmonds Arts F - i ,al As n.
