Hawley 1001 Spruce Street Edmonds, WA 98020 Dear Mrs. Hawley: LAURA M. HALL MAYOR This letter is in response to your letter to Councilmember, Steve Dwyer, dated February 17, 1994. Your concern about your street (Spruce Street) not being swept on a routine basis is correct. Your street is a residential street with no curbs or raised edges. This street type is only swept on an "as needed" basis. This is because the street does not have curbs or raised edges to trap the street debris. Mostly the street debris is washed away by rain, or traffic can pretty much keep debris off the street. I. understand that in the.fall and winter, we get more debris on the streets. If this is the case on your street, please feel free to give me a.call and I will have the street sweeper sweep your street. If you have any questions, please give me a call at 771-0235, extension 348.
