FOURTEEN FEET, RECOGNIZING THAT: THE PROPOSAL SATISFIES THE

Introduction: The existing Skippers Restaurant is changing ownership, and thus is proposing

new signs. The enclosed building elevations show three proposed signs; one on the north face,
asigns,
one on the south face, and one on the roof facing east. The Sign Code does not permit roof
and thus the roof sign is simply shown as an option if the sign code were to be amended.
The sign analysis will not include that sign.

The application states that the sign on the south face will be neon pan channel letters, and the

sign on the north face will be painted. The applicant contacted staff by phone and stated that
they would prefer neon pan channel letters for the sign on the north face of the building. The

applicant has also decided to replace the proposed ferry logo with a fish logo.

as possible, relying on symbols to avoid needless clutter ,and complexity" "Sign
should be related to the circulation element serving the establishment"
