In preparation for this event, Snohomish County Enhanced 9-1-1 Office is validating all addresses located in the Geographic Information System (GIS) for emergency responses throughout the entire county. A recent audit by the county has identified a considerable number of buildings in the City of Edmonds whose addresses are not consistent with the approved protocol for addressing buildings, which could result in delayed emergency responses to those locations. The current address above has been identified as one of these. In an effort to cooperate with Snohomish County, as well as Fire District 1, and the Edmonds Police Department to improve fire and public safety for all types of emergency response, the City of Edmonds will be changing the above address to: 16007 75TH PL W The main purpose for this particular change is to properly align odd and even address numbers on opposite sides of the street, and ensure they are in proper numerical sequence. - We understand that this change may. cause you some inconvenience, and even some financial expense, and we apologize for that. However, please understand that the change will provide additional assurance that .police, fire, and public works services are quickly able to find your address during your emergency. For your convenience, we have enclosed a USPS addressing kit, which will help you make the appropriate notifications to your utilities, creditors, insurance companies, magazine subscriptions, etc.. . . In order to be prepared for the upcoming upgrade to the E911 system, we anticipate that this address change will need to take effect by June 8, 2015, the date when Snohomish County E911 will implement the new technology. Dear Sir: I am writing this letter on advise from your Civil engineering technician,Jerald Saterile, per phone, as to the best solution to my existing problem with my neighbor, Mr. Ebert, south of my residence, who has in— sisted on parking and obstructing my exit and entrance to my garage time and again in the past even on my request to refrain from this act for safety sake. My garage is situated at right angle to the street (drawing enclosed) making exit and entrance difficult and at times dangerous due to the sparcity of space especially if a car is parked directly opposite to the garage entrance. My request is for a posted sign —No parking at any time or any appropriate type. My car measures 18' and the width of the street is app. 18' making exit and entrance possibly only by a "U" turn maneuver due to the angle of the garage. Oncoming traffic from the north can be hazardous. DR. EUGENE H. IMAMURA OSTEOPATHIC PHYSICIAN & SURGEON 20330 BALLINGER RD. SEATTLE, WASH. 98155 TELEPHONE EM 2.4040 Continued from page 1 I have also requested your department to improve parking space near my mailbox so I can have parking for my guests. Mr. Ebert and family have six cars that are parked regularly on the street leaving no parking space for any guests of mine. He has also stated that because he requested your department to put the parking area in fro:Etof his home that he has the right to monopolize all the street parking as desired even to obstruct exit and entrance to my garage and also to my other neighbors(Mr. Jarneway) entrance and exit from his garage. I know this is a neighborhood problem but it has become a city problem when one family has six cars plus a camper on the street and others are denied parking space. plus safe exit and entrance into his own garage. Hope some solution can be made to my problem. Being a Physician and on call makes having to request non — obstruction to my'garage a nuisance.
