Dear Mr. Louden:
I have reviewed your account and will allow a credit for the June through August billing
period due to service leak in accordance with our City policy. The policy states that the
customer will be billed at the retail rate based upon the average water consumption for the
same period during the previous year. In addition, the excess water lost from the leak will
be billed to customer at the City's wholesale rate with a 15% surcharge added for
administrative cost. Only one leak credit will be granted in any three year period.
Should you have any additional questions after you receive your new billing, please

Dear Sir:
I am writing to you to request a "leak credit" on our billing as a result of a water
line leak we have experienced these past several months. This is the second time we
have had this problem with the water line. Your department was helpful in sending
out some "sound location" equipment to search for the leak. At that time the
equipment was not effective because of too much background noise. However, in
time the water did come to the surface. About 75 percent of the water line has been
replaced. Not replaced is the section of line that is under the road, from the meter,
which was repaired last year. I assume you probably have some records of this.
The water service repair was done by Edmonds Waterworks ( 206/ 775-7648) ;
Scott Ashby.
Enclosed is a copy of the bill.

I am writing to you to request a " leak credit " on our billing as a result of a water line leak
we experienced these past few months. Our account number is 3-38800 and can be
reviewed back to August (of this year) where the water meter readings seemed to spike
upward beyond our normal consumption. We were, for quite awhile, unaware that we
even had a leak. Recently, after some dry weather we found a "wet spot" on the ground
and after digging, the break in the water line was found and repaired.
The water service repair was performed by Skea Plumbing at 7717 236th St. S.W.
Edmonds. Enclosed is a copy of the bill.
