Dear Mr. And Mrs. O'Connell:

This letter serves to confirin the City's willingness to reimburse you for certain expenses related
to the construction of a side sewer to service your house.
In order for the sewer to reach your house, we were forced to tren cb through your existing
concrete driveway. This resulted in removal of 9 feet by 17 feet by 4 inches of exposed
aggregate concrete. Because the stub couldn't be placed in any other location, the City has
decided to reimburse you up to $729.00 for replacement costs. This amount is based upon a
$4.50 per square foot cost and includes materials, forming, placing and finishing.
You wfl] be responsible for hiring a contractor to do this work. While the City will reimburse
you to the extent indicated above, upon providing the City with a proper invoice from a
contractor, it is not the City's intention to construct, guarantee, or supervise the construction of
the driveway. I
