This will ackacwleadge receipt of your letter of June 23,
1964 regarding the above matter. At your request I.supplied
you with a complete copy of the Eftonds City Code for your
study prior to public hearing of this matter before the
Planning Cmaission.
As provided by Ordinances, 512.08.020, that body is
designated and assigned they administrative and coordinating
responsibility of plats rather than the City Council. About
the only thing the Council does is approve the plat following
they Planning Commission's recomendatipn.

As to the plat in question the public hearing ha::,, of
courses, already been held before the Planning Commission and
you and your clients were given the opportunity to be heard.
The reports of the various City Officials pursuant to 512.08.
110 of the Edmonds City Codes were disclosed, and your petition
considered along with your oral presentation.
The Planning Comisasion granted tentative approval of
the plat in accordance with §12.08.130 of the Edmonds City
Code after considering all the matters brought to its atton-
tion. You will recall that the hearing had been postponed
one seoath to assure that public notice was properly pearfeeated.
