During review of the subject submittal it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications will need to be addressed:
1.Provide a section view of building frontage and sidewalk and provide the distance from the sidewalk to
the bottom of the sign. A minimum clearance of 7’ is required.
2.Installation of a sign over the City sidewalk, within the right-of-way, requires a Street Use Permit. A
Street Use Permit must be obtained by the business owner or property owner. A handout and application
is available at the Development Services Department of City Hall or on the City’s website at
www.ci.edmonds.wa.us
under Engineering Division.
Please read the handout and determine all temporary uses that Car Finder of Edmonds may have. The
application should encompass all temporary uses of the City right-of-way including the sign, merchandise
displays, etc.
Also, please thoroughly read the insurance certificate requirements to ensure a complete Street Use
Permit submittal.
