During review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information,
corrections, or clarifications are needed.
1)Show location of Arbor and/or Trellis on site plan.
2)Provide a construction detail for proposed arbor/trellis.
3)Show location of smoke detectors throughout the existing residence.
4)Provide a construction detail for new outdoor masonry fireplace
5)Label SW 2 at line C and designate all other walls as SW1 are required in the structural
calculations.
6)Specify minimum width for all shear walls on the plans.
7)Specify where retaining wall 10 (6”) in the calculations applies and provide detail on the plans.
8)Clarify with section views that the deck is slab on grade. If not slab on grade also provide deck
framing plans and specify if hot tub is supported by the deck. If supported by the deck provide
structural calculations to assure that the deck can carry all loads from the hot tub.
9)Provide calculations for ledger connection shown in detail 4/A8.
10)Some of the information from the details in the calculations is missing off the details on the plans
(i.e. some welds, nailing information, etc.). Please revise all plan details to match the details in the
calculations.
11)Detail 5 in the calculations is not on the plans. Provide detail on plans and specify where it
applies.
12)Retaining wall detail on the plans does not show lug (key). Revise detail to match calculations.
Please redline plans or submit two (2) sets of revised plans/documents (affected sheets only) with a
written response to each of the above items to a Permit Coordinator.
