The Fire Department requires more information to adequately review these plans. I would request
that a meeting be arranged to identify scope of project.
Please arrange our meeting with Building Official Jeannine Graf (425) 771-0220 x 1226.
1. With this clarification Building and Fire can determine whether new requirements apply
versus carryover requirements from 1973 renovation and Uniform.
2. With International Codes, I need to know if you will use design for separated or non-
separated uses (IBC 302.3).
3. Callout and maintain existing fire-rated wall at match line 8 between project and south mall.
4. Provide use and occupant load calculations for each individual space and in aggregate.
5. Clarify the account that an A2 occupancy will remain in business adding to the mix of
occupancies and the design requirements.
6. Resubmit plans for review in accordance with these determinations.
