SW Dear Mr. Deisher: Thank you for submitting the supplemental report by Associated Earth Sciences, dated September 11, 2006, for the above building permit application. I have reviewed this report for the Planning Division and it was found that the following will need to be addressed before review can continue: Geotechnical Re ort: The report by Associated Earth Sciences dated September 11, 2006 states that the 25 -foot top of slope setback presented in the Nelson Geotechnical Associates report could be reduced to 20 feet. The distance shown on the site plan from the proposed detached garage to the top of slope scales out to approximately 16.5 feet. Since this distance is less than the recommended 20 feet, I cannot approve the detached garage in its proposed location. Please either move the location of the detached garage and show that it will be 20 -feet from the top of slope in order to comply with the latest report from Associated Earth Sciences or get a supplemental report from Associated Earth Sciences stating that a 16.5 -foot setback from the top of slope is ok. Please redline plans or submit three sets of revised plans/documents (affected sheets only) with a written response to each of the above items. Please make all submittals to the Development Services Permit Coordinator Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to noon or 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
