Dear Ms. Huycke:
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division and it was
found that the following information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressed
before review can continue:
Geotechnical Report:
1. Thank you for submitting a geotechnical report by HWA
Geosciences dated October 30, 2006. Due to the presence of both a Landslide Hazard
Area and Erosion Hazard Area within your backyard, your geotechnical report will need
to address the presence of these critical areas. Therefore, please have your geotechnical
engineer prepare a supplemental report or an addendum to the current report that
addresses the critical areas requirements of Edmonds Community Development Code
(ECDC) Sections 23.40 and 23.80. This report must delineate the top of the steep slope
and must include a recommended distance that the proposed decks must be from the top
of the slope. The top of the slope and buffer distance must also be shown on your site
plan.
Please redline plans or submit three sets of revised plans/documents (affected sheets only)
with a written response to each of the above items. Please make all submittals to the
Development Services Permit Coordinator Monday through Friday, excluding Wednesdays,
between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm.
