During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator.
1.Provide a specific demolition plan either by, or with written approval of the geotechnical
engineer of record that includes the following:
a.An erosion control plan. Include what BMPs are proposed for protecting the steep
slopes, denuded soil, and stormwater runoff from the site before, during, and after the
demolition work is performed, until the retaining wall stabilization work is
completed.
b.Provide the recommended methodology for the demolition and disposal of the deck
with the least amount of negative impact to the Citys property. Will the demolition
be all manual labor, or will any heavy equipment be brought onto the property? Will
this be over the Citys wetland area?
c.If any work impacts the Citys property how will the property be restored to an
acceptable standard?
2.Provide a timetable for the demolition work and the temporary erosion control work.
3.Provide a timetable for the retaining wall permit application.
4.Provide a timetable for the retaining wall work and permanent erosion control.
5.Special inspection by the geotechnical EOR will be required during the course of the work.
