During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator.
1.Engineer of Record (EOR) to address the following:
a.Provide a plinth and footing detail as called for at the front porch footing locations.
b.Please explain the purpose of stopping the footings 3 from the corner per detail
C/A4.1, and show a min. 18 to bottom of concrete for frost line protection, or
justify.
2.Wood landing and stairs:
a.Joist plan including materials
b.Identify stringer material and spacing
c.Ledger connection details
d.Stair rise, run, and nosing
e.Indicate on plans the light nearest the top landings to see if will comply with R303.6,
stairway illumination (if lights are to be provided at the exterior doors, these will
suffice).
3.The location for the crawl access appears to conflict with the landing at the exterior master door.
It does not appear that adequate clearances will be acheived, as proposed? If it will not fit,
provide an alternative location.
