Please provide written responses as to where the changes can be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit bolded Coordinator. The responses follow the original comments for #s 6,11, and 12. 1.The gravity analysis for the roof apparently did not include the tile roofing dead load. According to the notes from the EOR the roof dead load, including the tile, should be 30 psf, not 15. Revise the calculations for the beams and footings appropriately. 2.Provide beam calculations for the 8x12 deck beams. Indicate pressure preservative treating. 3.Either an additional post and footing is required, or a much larger beam for the edge of the deck supporting the walls and roof for the new dining room adjacent to the stairs, or justify with calculations the connection and loads imposed on what is apparently a cantilevered floor system. 4.Provide roof plan. 5.Provide floor joist plan in order to verify that strapping and joists will align. Using the reactions provided in the August 21, 2009 6.EOR to detail deck ledger attachment. structural Calculation package, the attachment of the ledger is inadequate with ½ inch lag screws at 16” o.c., based on the values given for lag screws in the NDS, and the available amount of ledger to install the screws.
