During review of the revised plans/documents for the above noted project, it was found that the
following information, clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to
where the changes can be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit
bolded
Coordinator. The responses follow the original comments for #s 6,11, and 12.
1.The gravity analysis for the roof apparently did not include the tile roofing dead load.
According to the notes from the EOR the roof dead load, including the tile, should be 30 psf, not

2.Provide beam calculations for the 8x12 deck beams. Indicate pressure preservative treating.
3.Either an additional post and footing is required, or a much larger beam for the edge of the deck

calculations the connection and loads imposed on what is apparently a cantilevered floor system.

screws at 16 o.c., based on the values given for lag screws in the NDS, and the available
amount of ledger to install the screws. Call out the length of the screws.
7.The plans and calculations need to match, e.g. calcs for 2x2x10 footings call for the rebar at
8 o.c. but sheet A-2 calls out 9 o.c.
8.Sheet A4.1 labels two perpendicular sections as B-B, and the detail C cannot be found.
9.Call out and detail connections at posts to beams, beams to beams, and posts to foundation, e.g.
4x8 and 8x12 beams to 10x10 posts at deck.
