During review of the resubmitted structural calculation package for the above noted project, it was
found that the following information, clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written
responses as to where the changes can be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to
a Permit Coordinator. The original 8/14/2009 comments are followed by todays comments
italicized.
1.Engineer of Record to provide a lateral analysis of the addition. Justify with calculations the
statement that no lateral upgrades are required. The addition has walls with an abundance of
windows with no apparent shear resistance without transferring the shear through the roof and
floor diaphragms to the main building.
2.Engineer of Record to provide a gravity analysis of the addition. Include the foundation
calculations.
