During review of the resubmitted documentation for the above noted project, it was found that the
following information, clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to
where the changes can be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit
Coordinator. Some of the comments may also be covered by the planning and/or engineering
departments, so there may be some redundancies.
1.The retaining wall will require special inspection by the geotech of record for construction,
compaction, materials, and drainage. Complete the attached City of EdmondsÂ’ Special
Inspection Agreement.
2.The geotech report needs to be specific with calling out the requirements for construction
materials and compaction requirements.
3.A filter fabric is not identified in the figure 3.
4.The minimum amount of drain rock surrounding the drain pipe is not identified.
5.Figure 3 calls out PVP pipe. Is this a typo for PVC? The schedule of the pipe should be
identified. The hole size should be identified as min. 1 sieve size smaller than the drain rock.
6.Is the 5/8” base rock required to be compacted?
