Before I can sign off on the permit, however, the following information needs to be clarified: 1. Datum Point: On the site plan, please show the datum point used to calculated the height of the detached garage and include its elevation. 2. Elevations: Please double check the elevation drawing for the actual ridge and maximum height for the proposed garage. 3. Structural lot coverage: Please revise the structural lot coverage calculations to exclude areas of roof overhang. According to ECDC 21.15.110, "[c]overage means the total ground coverage of all buildings or structures on a site measured from the outside of external walls or supporting members or from a point two and one-half feet in from the outside edge of a cantilevered roof, whichever covers the greatest area. " You may redline your existing plans or submit three copies of your updated site plan (one reduced size) and two sets of any updated pages of the building plans.
