Dear Mr. Luchini:
I have inspected the Union Bank signs at 123 3rd Ave. S (BLD20100734) for the Planning
Division, and it was found that correction is necessary before the Planning Division can sign off
on our inspection of this permit.
Pursuant to Edmonds Community Development Code (ECDC) 20.60.045.G, freestanding signs
are required to have a landscaped area twice the size of the sign area located at the base of the
sign. As part of the building permit application for the Union Bank signs, a landscape plan
prepared by Pacific Landscape Inc. was submitted on January 21, 2011. The approval was
conditioned such that this landscape plan shall be followed. However, upon staff's inspection
conducted on September 2, 2011, it was noted that no landscaping was present surrounding the
base of the sign. Please install all landscaping in accordance with the approved plan by Pacific
Landscape Inc. no later than Monday, September 19, 2011 and call the Planning Division for re-
inspection.
