During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator.
1.Engineer of Record:
a.Provide a lateral analysis for the home due to the additional wind and seismic loads.
Include any additional shearwall and holdown retrofitting requirements.
b.Provide a gravity analysis. Be sure to include the additional loads to the existing
beams and foundation, as well as the new areas. The proposed 4x10 rafters appear to
be overspanned.
c.Specify welding requirements for the structural steel.
2.Indicate the minimum ground cover for footings as 18.
