As we discussed yesterday the City posted the site today with an Order to Vacate and Abatement Notice. The Notice allows the home to be cleaned provided, that the specified timelines are met (please note, your proposed dates of compliance were accepted by the City.) At this time the City requires, in writing, your intention to comply to the noted deadlines, please provide this to my office by November 6, 2001. If you feel additional time is needed include an alternate timeline for compliance. Your brother Kevin Kieneker did leave a message on my phone stating that Sharron is out of the residence and will be living with him. Based on this information the first requirement in the Notice (the Order to Vacate) has been satisfied. If this information is incorrect please immediately notify the City. As you are aware, the home must remain vacant until the Building Official re -issues a certificate of occupancy. Occupancy shall not be granted until a licensed professional certifies that no toxins exist in the home. Regarding the security of the residence, the family must be certain that the home is secured from vagrants, trespassers, animal entry, etc. Please verify that there are no broken windows or doors that would allow such access. If unprotected openings are discovered they must be immediately repaired or boarded to prevent entry. Lastly, the City strongly suggests that you enlist the services of a professional cleaning business to either perform the work or provide you guidance on the clean up. The City is concerned that toxins may exist within the home that may be harmful to health. If there are any questions please feel free to contact me at 771-0220. Sincerely, Jeannine L.
