During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator.
1.Identify the grade and species of the deck framing lumber.
2.Identify all hardware including joist hangers, post bases and caps.
3.Provide a cross section showing footing, post, beam, and joist. It is not clear if the joist butt into
the beams or sit on top.
4.There appear to be void spaces without beams and footing to support the loads.
5.The 4x8 beams are severely over spanned. Either provide beam calculations, or provide
additional footings so the footing spacing does not exceed 6 on center for 4x8, 7 for 4x10.
6.If stairs are proposed, identify the location including framing members, rise, run, and landing.
