Project Address: 178 Sunset Ave South
During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator.
1.Grab bars are required in the restroom, at the water closet, include a note on plans.
2.ADA signage is required at the restroom, include a note on plans.
3.Indicate the type of door hardware at the main entrance. If it is the type that can be locked from
the inside, a note should be included on the plans at the door This door to remain unlocked
when building is occupied.
4.Because the Pizza oven burns wood and produces smoke, a Type I commercial hood with fore
suppression is required. This may be issued as a deferred permit, but a note on the plans
indicating the hood is required. The city has a handout which includes the information which
needs to be included with the Type I permit application. Make-up air will need to be calculated
and interlocked with the Type I hood.
5.Indicate type and location of fire extinguishers.
6.Is the floor system beneath the wood fired oven slab on grade, or wood framed? If wood
framed, provide letter from a state licensed engineer certifying the ability of floor to withstand
the additional loads from the proposed oven.
